Scent of Flesh was formed in year 2000 at Imatra, Finland.
The music style of Scent of Flesh is raw and aggressive death metal with some melodic influences.
In january 2001 the band recorded their first demo-cd called �Drowned into the Darkness� at Digibone studios with three axemen.

�Drowned into the Darkness� got much attention and quite good reviews all around.
Somewhere in time of summer 2001 Markus Toivonen moved to Tampere, Finland and he had to leave the band. Rest of the band started to seek replacer to Markus, but any substantial guitarist was not found, and the band decided to continue with traditional line up with two guitars.
In november of 2001 Scent of Flesh recorded their second demo-cd called �Towards Eternal Lost�. This time the studio was professional Music Bros studio and sounds was much better than �Drowned into the Darkness� demo.
�Towards Eternal Lost� got brilliant reviews all around the metal circles. In december of 2001 Black Lotus records offered the recording deal to Scent of Flesh. The contract was signed in february 2002 and debut full lenght album �Roaring Depths of Insanity� will be released at the end of the year 2002 with 10 extremely aggressive death metal song.
